DEPARTMENT OF UROLOGY,ANDROLOGY & RENAL TRANSPLANT SURGERY
The department of Urology , GH Ernakulam was started in March 2017.
The department has done nearly 10,000 surgeries in these years. The department offers a wide range of treatment and advanced surgeries for the entire range of problems affecting the genitourinary organs and the male reproductive system.
The urology department covers the following fields
- Uro oncology (cancers of kidney ureter , urinary bladder penis and testis)
- Urolithiasis(Kidney stones)
- Urodynamics (Problems with the flow of urine )
- Diseases of Prostate gland
- Reconstructive urology and congenital anomalies of genitourinary system
- Female urological disorders
- Male infertility and male sexual disorders
The department is equipped with ultramodern equipments like 100 watts and 30 watts Holmium laser,flexible ureterorenoscope,ESWL machine Pneumatic lithoclast master.
GH Ernakulam urology department is the only government sector doing RIRS,HOLEP and Supine PCNL on regular basis.
