Provide quality services in managing Ear, Nose and Throat disorders both conservatively and surgically.

Outpatient services on all days except Sundays. Minor procedures are done in the OPD.
Inpatient services –Patient who need hospitalization and patients posted for major surgeries.

Audiology services

Different types of hearing assessments that are available in audiology under ENT department are

–>Assessment of hearing

  • PTA(Pure tone Audiometry) – PTA is a behavioral test used to measure hearing sensitivity
  • IA(Impedance Audiometry) – The primary purpose of Impedance Audiometry is to determine the status of the tympanic membrane and middle ear.

–>Assessment of hearing in Newborn and children

  • OAE (Oto acoustic emissions) checks inner ear’s response to sound. OAE tests are currently used to screen newborns for congenital hearing loss.
  • BERA (Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry) is an objective test done for detecting hearing loss in newborn and children.

–>Speech therapy &Voice therapy – done for speech and voice disorders
–>District Nodal Center for NPPCD (National Programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness)

  • Provide services for prevention and control of Deafness.

Apart from patient care academic session and training for post graduates and junior doctors are given.
