ദേശീയ ആരോഗ്യ ദൗത്യത്തിന്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ കൊച്ചിൻ കോർപ്പറേഷന്റെയും എറണാകുളം ജനറൽ ആശുപത്രിയുടെയും സംയുക്താഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്ന സ്തനാർബുദ പരിശോധന ക്യാമ്പ്.
കോർപറേഷനിലെ 74 ഡിവിഷനുകളിൽ 12.11.2023 നു നടന്നു. ഭവന സന്ദർശനം നടത്തി 27000 സ്ത്രീകളെ ഇതിനകം സ്ക്രീനിംഗ് നടത്തി. ഇതിൽ നിന്ന് 1600 പേരെയാണ് പരിശോധന ക്യാമ്പിലേക്ക് റെഫർ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. കാൻസർ സ്പെഷ്യലിറ്റി ബ്ലോക്കിന്റെ ഉത്‌ഘാടനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ചാണ് ” തൂവൽ സ്പർശം ” പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്
Cancer Speciality Block Inauguration
The inauguration of a new Cancer Speciality Block by honourable Chief Minister Sri Pinarayi Vijayan on October 2nd, 2023, is a significant step towards improving healthcare services for cancer patients in our region. The involvement of the Smart City Mission (CSML) as the funding agency for this project shows the commitment to providing advanced medical facilities to the community.
Here are some key features of the Cancer Speciality Block:
- Inpatient Care : The facility can accommodate 100 patients, ensuring that a substantial number of individuals can receivespecialized care and treatment.
- Diverse Care Units : The block includes various specialized units like the Cancer ICU, Neutropenia ICU, and a ChemotherapyUnit. These units are essential for providing critical care and specialized treatments to cancer patients.
- Separate wards : Separate wards for male and female patients are available.
- Dormitory for Bystanders : Having a dormitory for bystanders is a thoughtful addition. It allows family members and friendsto stay close to their loved ones during their treatment, providing emotional support
- Medical Facilities on each floor : The presence of nursing stations and doctors’ rooms on each floor ensures that medicalstaff are readily available to attend to patients’ needs
